Biography
Amr Badawy is a Lecturer and Consultant in HPB Surgery unit, General Surgery department, Alexandria University Hospital. Dr. Badawy completed his residency in General Surgery department, Alexandria University Hospital where he finished his master’s degree in general surgery. Then, he finished his Ph.D. in General and HPB Surgery in 2020.
Dr. Badawy had the opportunity to join the HPB Surgery and Liver transplantation Department, Kyoto University, Japan as a clinical fellow for two years where he got extensive experience in different HPB Surgeries and Liver Transplantation and published around 15 articles in very prestigious Journals.
Then, he joined the HPB Surgery and Liver transplantation department, Regensburg University Hospital, Germany as a clinical fellow for 6 months with one of the pioneers in Liver Surgery and the inventor of the ALPPS procedure “Professor Hans Schlitt”
