Biography
Dr. Saleh AlAbbad is now a Chairman of Dept. of Abdominal Transplant & Hepatobiliary – Pancreatic Surgery, Organ Transplant of Excellence, King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Center, Riyadh from May 2021 – March 2022. A Deputy Program Director of Hepatobiliary Pancreatic Surgery Fellowship Training Program, King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Center, Riyadh from January 2014 – present. He received his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) at King Saud University, college of medicine, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in 2003, and immediately joined as General Surgery Residency program, KFSHRC-Riyadh 2003-2005. He continued his General Surgery Residency, McGill University, Montreal, Quebec, Canada 2005-2011 and Multi Organ Transplant Fellowship (ASTS), McGill University. He accomplished his General Surgery Board Canada in 2011 and Multi-Organ Transplant Fellowship & Hepatobiliary Pancreatic Surgery Fellowship in 2013 and joined as 2005-2011. He continued MBA, International Healthcare Management, Frankfurt School of Finance Management from 2017-2019.
Dr. AlAbbad academic/teaching backgrounds includes Adjunct Assistant Professor, College of Medicine, Al-Faisal University Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Nov. 2016 – present. Member, General Surgery Program Committee, KFSHRC-Riyadh, 2015 – present and General Surgery Board Examiner 2019 – present.
