Biography

Dr. Mohamed Fawzi is the head of the diagnostic and intervention radiology department of National Hepatology & Tropical Research Institute (NHTMRI) in Cairo and the head of the radiology department Dar Al Fouad Hospital. Currently Dr. Fawzi is the Radiology Advisor to the Minister Of Health & Population.

He is a board member of international society of minimal and non-invasive treatment and Egyptian transplantation society. He is also a member of the Egyptian Society of Radiology, European Society of Radiology and European Society of Gastro-intestinal Radiology and International Society for Liver Transplantation.

Dr. Fawzi served for 22 years till now in Dar Al Fouad Hospital during which he was the first in performing and introducing the role of imaging in liver transplantation in Egypt and applied and transferred this knowledge to many centers in Egypt. Dr. Fawzi also served almost 18 years till now in Alfa Scan Radiology Center.

Dr. Fawzi has special interest in Interventional Radiology with special interest in loco-regional interventions and ultrasound interventions. Also he has high interest in whole body ultrasound and Doppler procedures with special interest in liver transplant imaging.

Dr. Fawzi is one of the founders of Omega Scan, Karnak Scan and HIFU Egypt center and the first consultants to introduce HIFU Treatment in Egypt and the Middle East which is specialized in non-invasive treatment of benign and malignant tumors.
