Biography

Dr. Mustafa Nazzal is an Associate Professor of Surgery and Vice-chair of surgery for Research at the SSM/Saint Louis University Hospital. Dr. Nazzal specializes in adult and pediatric liver transplantation; liver tumors and minimally invasive liver surgery; complex hepato-biliary surgery; and split liver transplant.

Dr. Nazzal is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, he holds memberships in the American Society of Transplant Surgeons, Society for Clinical Vascular Surgery, American Association for Liver Disease, and the International Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association.

Dr. Nazzal’s research interest includes normothermic liver perfusion and mitigation of ischemia Reperfusion injury after liver transplant.
