Moderators Khaled Zalata, MD, PhD (Mansoura University, Egypt)
Target audience Pathologists and those in Liver Pathology raining. Also, other members of Liver transplantation teams including hepatologists, surgeons and radiologists could have good benefit to be familiar with Liver transplantation pathology and to gain the common language with the pathologists.

The aim of the Liver transplantation Pathology Workshop is to provide a good idea about the principles and interpretation of liver biopsy specimens in this field.

Objectives
  • Indications of liver biopsy in liver transplantation
  • Dealing with potential donor liver biopsy specimens.
  • The role of liver biopsy in early post-transplant period.
  • Different patterns and features of acute and chronic rejection.
  • Understand more the role of protocol biopsies
  • The possible role of non-invasive tools to predict and diagnose the post-transplantation problems.
